Devils Cove is one of the most popular spots for boat parties, with many visitors bringing their boats to anchor in the cove and enjoy a day on the water. Each year from spring to fall hundreds of party boats and boats will venture into Devils cove and Tie up together forming one big water party where people will hop from boat to boat. As you can expect Devils Cove is most crowded during holiday weekends such as Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day.
Devils cove is a great place to swim as it is up to 60 feet deep at its deepest point, however be careful as there will typically be a lot of boat traffic.

Devil’s Cove is located on the north shore of Lake Travis, near the town of Lago Vista and to the West of Northshore Marina and to the East of Mossy Hollow
Starnes Island is one of the most popular places for party boats and houseboats to anchor up to as it’s up to 100 feet deep all the way around it . The small island located in the north-central part of Lake Travis. The island is uninhabited and is mostly covered in trees, shrubs, and grasses. Over the years it has been referred to as Monkey Island and Rattlesnake Island. It’s a great place to drop anchor and float around a bit on rafts and socialize and drink.
Starnes Island is also a popular cliff jumping spot when the lake level is at its highest. You will often find people climbing to the highest points to jump in the water. Just be sure to double check the water depth before taking the plunge.

If you are feeling a bit adventurous and like to skinny dip then add Hippy Hollow to your bucket list! Hippy Hollow is the only clothing-optional public park in Texas. If you’re over 18, you’ll find plenty of boaters and swimmers lounging on the limestone steps. It’s the perfect place to take a dip and relax in the sun.
In the 1960s and 1970s, McGregor County Park earned the nickname Hippie Hollow for being a popular and secluded spot for nude swimming. The nearby terrain was nicknamed Radio Rock, due to groups of friends who’d bring their radios and play different music.
