Behavior Analysis Investigations LLC (BAI) was formed to assist clients in the area of intelligence gathering with state of the art information gathering skills using proven methods for gathering information/intelligence based on research and science.
Our team of investigators, comprised of seasoned law enforcement and investigative professionals have been trained in the most effective way to elicit and gather information from witnesses in all forms of high stakes contexts (Legal, Civil, Insurance Fraud etc.). This specialized training is unique and in the past has only been available to US Federal law enforcement agencies and specialized investigative units, of which our Executive Management has been a part of. This makes our investigative company unique and the most highly trained interview/intelligence-gathering company in the private sector.

Our executive management has been conducting investigative services since 2000 and in addition to the private sector, investigations have had an extensive law enforcement background as well. Since 2000, we have offered a full spectrum of investigative services tailored to meet the needs of our clients. We are licensed by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Security and Investigative Services and hold associations with some of the most reputable security and investigative associations in the country.

David S. Boone is the President of Behavior Analysis Investigations, LLC and the President/CEO of Pentagon Protective and Investigative Services Inc., a California-based executive security and investigations company.

Mr. Boone started his career as a law enforcement officer with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and after being shot in the line of duty, retired and started working in the private sector as an executive protection bodyguard and private investigator. He has had the opportunity to work with several celebrity clients, government officials, Insurance companies and corporate clients including Toyota Motor Sales corporate offices, where he was the Manager of Investigations and Manager of Executive Protection. Mr. Boone started his own very successful executive security and investigations company, which he began in April of 2000 that he still owns/manages today.
Mr. Boone became involved in the field of deception detection in 2009 and studied under renowned psychologist, Dr. Paul Ekman. Mr. Boone successfully completed courses developed by Dr. Ekman in order to train himself in reading others more effectively and detecting deception in others. After completing the courses and scoring high marks, Mr. Boone moved on to Dr. Ekman’s Trainer Course and became a Certified Trainer. For several years, Mr. Boone has trained others and has educated clients utilizing Dr. Ekman’s proven methods, which are based on research and science. Mr. Boone taught courses for Evaluating Truthfulness and Credibility as well as Emotional Skills and Competencies and successfully completed Dr. Ekman’s program on the Facial Action Coding System (FACS).
Mr. Boone has been a sought after speaker in the art of detecting deception and reading others and has had the opportunity to be a keynote speaker at conferences and meetings for numerous associations including California Licensed Investigators Association (CALI), Private Investigators of California (PICA), American Society of Industrial Security Association (ASIS), Southern California Fraud Investigators Association (SCFIA) as well as many others.
